Why This Site?

When you visit this site for the first time, you may simply think it's a sales site. If you do, please accept my apologies. Although I am trying to monetize the site, the main purpose is to help people who love instrumental guitar music. How so?

Let me go back in time. I've never been a big user of YouTube. I know it's insanely popular, but I guess I just don't have the time to use it. I happened to be on it one day looking at an artist, and a similar artist showed on the right. So I took a look and it happened to be Guthrie Govan's "Fives". I wasn't paying to much attention, til I heard the first run at the :48 mark and then the next at 1:02, followed by 1:44. Then he had my attention!

As I listened and watched in awe, I started thinking to myself "Self, why have I never heard of this guy before?" From there, I started thinking that if I had never heard of him, chances are a lot of other guitar players and/or purveyors of great guitar music and playing hadn't, either. The idea was born, and here we are.

Even if you never bought a single, um, single or album, there is still a ton of great music here. And the best part for me is I get to listen to it all of the time, as I work to add more albums and videos. And hopefully it will catch on, and become a growing community. That's my true hope for this site.

That said, I hope you find the site somewhat entertaining. Please visit the forum, or post comments, and let's get the juice flowing!
